About the Art-Tutor Christine Lester
Christine Lester is a professional painter and art tutor, experienced in a wide variety of mediums and subjects. She is a Member of the SAA as a Professional Artist and Demonstrator.
Although originally from Essex, Christine Lester developed her painting skills when she lived in Somerset. Painting a variety of subjects in oils, acrylics and watercolours, she exhibited widely at West Country locations, from The Bath Society and Clifton Arts to local galleries and pubs!
Back in East Anglia, her own paintings take the region - its places and its people - for inspiration. Christine now lives in Fryerning and Woodbridge, and when not teaching spends much of her time time painting – of course!
Christine teaches art to adults at the Adult Community Learning (ACL) in Brentwood, and at the ACL Summer School, and her tutored painting weekends, based around the coastline of Suffolk are perfect for those wanting to improve their painting skills, indulge their talents, or just have some ‘me time’ doing something they enjoy…
Many talented amateur painters have improved their work and developed their style with Christine’s support and guidance. Her students comment: “Christine is a very inspirational teacher... I am looking forward to her painting Weekend very much!” and… “Her sympathetic and gentle approach creates a relaxed atmosphere that makes the lessons great fun as well as informative. My own abilities have increased beyond recognition.”
There are weekend breaks arranged for Summer 2012- from April to October.
These will be held at various locations: Southwold, Aldeburgh, Woodbridge, Snape Maltings, Thorpeness and Walberswick, with some specialist one-day classes in Suffolk and Essex, catering for all needs from beginners and those who want to refresh their skills, to the more advanced.
